WORKERS MEMORIAL DAY

Various organisations will be laying wreaths at the Miners Statue to commemorate Workers Memorial Day – which is held on the 28 April every year.
Workers Memorial Day commemorates all workers killed or injured in accidents at work.
South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council will be laying a wreath in memory of all local people who have been killed or injured in accidents; particularly in the local pits and industry.
The wreath laying ceremony will take place at 2pm followed by light refreshments in the Grove Hall.
All are welcome to attend especially relatives of people who have been killed or injured in accidents at work.
