South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council is seeking to recruit a Council Manager and Clerk to the Council.

We are looking for a highly motivated, professional candidate to be proactive in leading the management of the council and fulfilling the Town Council’s ambitions for the area.

The person will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Town Council’s services and facilities. The successful candidate will require to be proactive in management and leadership and have the skills and abilities to work in partnership with staff, councillors, the local community and external partners. This post requires candidates to have an understanding of local government management and an excellent record in administration, policy development, project management, communication and strategic thinking.

The Town Council has a progressive approach to managing new projects and meeting the future needs of its residents.  We are looking for the successful candidate to be an integral part of the council in achieving the Council’s aims.

Applications are invited for this post from suitably qualified persons who already hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or will commit to achieving this qualification within 2 years of commencing employment with the council.
